Kuzbass Polytechnic University celebrated its 75th anniversary

Kuzbass State Technical University celebrated its 75th anniversary among friends and partners. Words of gratitude and good wishes came not only from across the country but also from around the world. Each response was a testament to the university's high standing and the significance of its scientific and educational achievements.

Leading Chinese educational institutions joined in the congratulations. Professor Huang Weijiu, Rector of Chongqing University of Arts and Science, addressed the entire faculty and students, noting Kuzbass State Technical University's significant achievements in personnel training and research.

Building on deep traditions and a high academic level, Kuzbass State Technical University has achieved outstanding results in personnel training, scientific research, and public service," he said. For example, the universities have achieved significant progress through the joint "3+1" and "2+2" programs. Nowadays, 433 students have taken advantage of international exchange opportunities, and more than 10 faculty members have participated in the Russian-Chinese graduate program.

The congratulatory message from Zhao Ming Jie, Rector of Chongqing University of Science and Technology, also traveled thousands of kilometers. He called KuzSTU "the pearl of science and education in Siberia."

Your university has trained over 100,000 outstanding engineers, including members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and leaders of the mining and energy industries, making an invaluable contribution to the development of domestic technologies. Rector Zhao Ming Jie emphasized the similarities between the universities' fields: oil and gas, new energy technologies, materials, and others. He expressed hope for the speedy launch of faculty and student exchange programs, as well as joint research in the field of safe energy production and conversion. Ma Yanwen, Rector of Suzhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College, also praised KuzSTU's scientific potential and its model of integrating education, science, and industry. The universities have been collaborating since 2022 and are successfully developing postgraduate programs, international exchanges, and joint research.

President Wang Hua signed another congratulatory message from their partner, Kunming University of Science and Technology. He warmly recalled last year's visit to Kuzbass and emphasized that it was during these days that a solid foundation for cooperation between the two universities was laid.
