Summer School for International Students: A Three-Week Language Journey Started at Kuzbass State Technical University

A Russian Language Summer School for students of Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences has started at Kuzbass State Technical University.

Twenty-two students from the "2+2" joint programs in Industrial Electronics and Environmental Engineering participated. Over the course of three weeks, they will master the Russian language, learn about Russian culture and traditions, and immerse themselves in student life at Kuzbass State Technical University. The school's main goal is to help international students overcome the language barrier.

Classes are interactive. In the Russian language lesson, the students learned politeness and basic etiquette. They then learned about Russian folk crafts and tried their hand at painting wooden boards in the style of Russian folk art. They will take these souvenirs home as a memento of Russia. A folk dance master class and new linguistic discoveries await the students. The students live in student dormitories and explore the city in their free time. Kuzbass State Technical University (KSU) students and faculty lead tours, sharing stories and showing them their favorite places.

Next year, the Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences students will return to Kuzbass State Technical University (KSU) and begin the second part of their educational program, this time in the classrooms of Kuzbass Polytechnic University.
