The Rector of KuzSTU held a roundtable discussion as part of the International Exhibition "Coal of Russia and Mining."

From June 3 to 6, the 32nd International Exhibition of Mining Technologies "Coal of Russia and Mining. Subsoil of Russia 2025" is taking place in Novokuznetsk at the Kuzbass Fair Exhibition Complex. This is the key industry event for leading companies, experts, and key players in the mining industry, as well as subsoil users, equipment manufacturers, technology solution providers, scientists, and government agencies.

As part of the business program "Coal of Russia and Mining. Subsoil of Russia 2025," a roundtable discussion entitled "Components of Industrial Technological Sovereignty" was held. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kuzbass organized the discussion. Alexey Yakovlev, Rector of KuzSTU, moderated the discussion.

Kuzbass is the coal heart of Russia, and the country's energy security depends on the efficiency of our mines and open-pit mines. However, without modern, reliable, and, crucially, domestically produced equipment, achieving true technological sovereignty is impossible. The subject of our discussion is crucial, as the success of the entire regional coal industry depends on the quality of cooperation between coal producers and equipment suppliers," noted Alexey Yakovlev.
