Three medals and special awards: results of the CASE-IN International Championship finals

The finals of the 13th season of the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship concluded in Moscow. Over 8,000 participants participated – 211 teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, and South Africa. Students, schoolchildren, and young professionals presented solutions aimed at implementing technological innovations in industry in Russia, the CIS, and BRICS+ countries.

Five teams from Kuzbass Polytechnic University advanced to the CASE-IN finals: TermoEDS (Heat Power Engineering), NFFL (Project Engineering), Kuzbass ExpressO (Electric Power Engineering), ORANGE (Mining), and Gora Vetrov (Mining Machinery and Equipment).

Under the leadership of ThermoEDS team captain Pavel Fadeev, students from the Institute of Power Engineering – Egor Eremeev, Maxim Pazderin, Dmitry Slizhuk, and Anastasia Zhdanova – developed a solution that earned them bronze medals in the Thermal Power Engineering category and the special nominations of Breakthrough Solution and Best Video Business Card.

In the Electric Power Engineering category, the Kuzbasskoe ExpressO team (Anastasia Ustyuzhanina, Andrey Vorobyov, Maxim Bastrygin, and Yaroslav Avdeev) also won bronze. They received the award for Best Video Business Card, and their solution was recognized as breakthrough.

Students from the Kemerovo Talent Center (Unikum) reached the finals of the School League of the International Engineering Championship. Egor Beresnev, Daria Bukhtiyarova, Daria Begunova, and Gordey Kozlov, part of the "Innovators" team, took second place.

Kuzbass Polytechnic University also received a number of special awards. The "Mountain of Winds" team, led by Dmitry Komarov from the Kuzbass State Technical University branch in Prokopyevsk, won the "Best Video Business Card" category in the "Mining Machinery and Equipment" category. Kuzbass State Technical University also won the "Energy of Education" competition for successfully organizing and hosting the qualifying round of the 13th International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.
