Kuzbass Polytechnic University actively participated in the events of Space Week, which took place in the region from April 7 to 12. One of the first themed events was a tour of the Mission Control Center. Students majoring in Industrial Electronics learned how to use modern communications equipment for small spacecraft.
The Mission Control Center was opened at Kuzbass State Technical University on Cosmonautics Day, April 12, 2022. The center's specialists handle flight corrections and exchange information with the Kuzbass nanosatellite in low-Earth orbit. A shared radio station enables direct communication with the ISS crew on amateur radio frequencies and the reception of images from meteorological satellites. The center also offers training as Mission Control Center operators and practical training. At the same time, the 7th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Unmanned Technologies in Industry: Challenges and Prospects" opened in Sheregesh, organized by KuzSTU. Until April 11, regular conference participants—experts in this field, manufacturers of unmanned aerial systems, and representatives of industry companies—will discuss the use of unmanned aerial systems in industry, modern data processing methods, import substitution issues, and more. A flight demonstration and a roundtable discussion entitled "Unmanned Technologies and Their Contribution to the Technological Sovereignty of the Russian Federation" are scheduled for the second day of the conference.
