Festival “FIELD of birth”: quests, meetings and a step towards future profession

The more “credits”, the more interesting the prizes – this principle was immediately recognized by the participants of the family festival “FIELD of birth”. That's why no zone was left unnoticed: the students played big checkers and chess, mastered the technique of rock climbing, attended master classes, actively learnt about student organizations and met the representatives of regional enterprises - partners of Kuzbass Polytech.

We position our “FIELD of birth” as a place where friendship, science, creativity, bold ideas, and possibly happy families are born, - explains Alexey Yakovlev, Rector of KuzSTU.  For example, here, at the festival, there is the first interaction of a school student with his possible professional future or his employer - this is how a professional family is born. Together with the regular participants of the festival - the enterprises of the region - we arrange an interesting quest for the students. By performing the quest tasks, they engage in a dialog with company representatives in a playful, informal way. Those who are looking for their way in life will definitely meet those who will give them guidelines for the future and self-realization in their native land.

Each company prepared an interactive location, where the guests of the festival could get acquainted with the theme of the company and spend time with benefit. For example, to look at modern architectural objects in VR-glasses and test their knowledge in the quiz of OOO “SDS-Stroy”.

KemerovoSpetsstroy Company brought the main materials used in modern construction to the festival. In order to get credit, the festival participants had to determine what components the blocks and plates presented at the stand were made of.

At the location of MMK-Ugol the participants were able to experience being a real coal mine worker. Future engineers studied a stand with specialized equipment, and then practiced actions in case of a fire at a tunnel face using a virtual reality simulator.

In the sections of Sberbank and Alfa-Bank anyone could play board games or take a photo as a souvenir. Azot, Koks and Kuzbassrazrezugol Companies also held exciting quizzes and talked about the advantages of employment for young specialists.
