KuzSTU presented seven projects for inclusion in the program of Scientific and Educational Center “Kuzbass-Donbass”

The program of activity of the interregional Scientific and Educational Center “Kuzbass - Donbass” for 2025-2030 was discussed in Kemerovo. The working meeting with Andrey Panov, First Deputy Governor of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass - Chairman of the Government of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass, was devoted to this issue.

Representatives of organizations - members of the Scientific and Educational Center “Kuzbass - Donbass” presented reports on new projects. Rector of KuzSTU Alexey Yakovlev discussed seven projects. The university started working on the construction of an automated cleaning harvester, the machine will be made of domestically produced components. “The family” of quarry drones will be supplemented by rigid-frame quarry dump trucks for transportation of ore and overburden. The project on development and creation of a set of technologies and equipment to ensure a sufficient level of industrial safety in coal mines is aimed at solving the problems that arise due to unreliable methods of predicting gas content and shortcomings of existing methods of predicting dynamic occurrences in the formation; and will solve the problem of ineffective means of protecting degasification systems from explosions of methane-air mixture and imperfections of mine shutters.

As well as projects to develop a cost-effective modular unit for drying fine coal after its preparation, technologies for obtaining carbon fibers from coal tar coking and technology for recycling rubber wastes to produce asphalt concrete mixtures modified with rubber crumbs.

Each project identifies a number of co-implementers and designates a stakeholder - the customer company.
