Young, ambitious and talented graduates of the Kuzbass Polytechnic University are in demand on the labor market

The Kuzbass State Technical University brought together on one platform 50 companies, potential employers for its graduates, so that the students could find out their career prospects, get acquainted with the nature, features of the upcoming work, social package and positioning of the company, apply for a practical training or internship. On the Career Day at KuzSTU, a wide range of vacancies was presented in all areas of university training by the largest companies in the region: SUEK-KUZBASS JSC, HK SDS CJSC, AZOT PJSC, KOKS PJSC, Kemerovo Mechanical Plant OJSC, branch of JSC IDGC-SIBERIA-KUZBASSENERGO-RES, JSC MC "NORTH KUZBASS", JSC "STROYSERVICE", PJSC "YUZHNY KUZBASS", LLC "HOLDING SIBUGLEMET", JSC "SIBERIA-POLYMETALLY", SGK, LLC "GOODLINE" , JSC HC SIBTSEM, EVRAZ ZSMK, JSC UK Kuzbassrazrezugol, LLC UK IMH, JSC NEFTEKHIMSERVICE, JSC Siberian Anthracite and many others.

“This is a mutually beneficial counter movement, and in the future, we will only strengthen and develop it,” notes Alexei Yakovlev, rector of KuzSTU. – “Today, students have learned how much the companies need their “heads”, “hands” and competencies. It seems to me that this information will serve as an additional incentive and motivation in studying and mastering the profession.”

More than a thousand students visited the stands of companies: graduate year students applied for internships and employment, undergraduates were looking for working practice with a good employment prospect and better conditions.

Ilya is a second-year student at the Institute of Vocational Education, his next practice is only in two years, but he decided not to waste time and get in contact with a number of enterprises that he considers as places for future internships. First-year students Maria and Yulia, who are studying to become thermal power engineers, came to look at future employers and make sure that their specialty is in demand.

“I graduated from college and I like to design, but the company where I wanted to get a job needed an engineer, a technologist-designer did not fit for the job, - said Yulia. - Therefore, I am a little better acquainted with the profession than my classmates, but here today I want to find out where there are vacancies that are interesting to me, perhaps I will go there for practice or work.”

Representatives of the companies participating in the Career Day have mentioned at the round table that the event could already be considered effective, because everyone, leaving the event, took with them a large number of applications and questionnaires.
