From March 1 to March 7, Sochi hosted the World Youth Festival, where students of Kuzbass Polytech took part. One of the largest events of the festival was the International Gala Concert "Student Spring" – a show of a unique tour program of the finalists of the Russian Student Spring.
The musical group NASOVSEM and the Karman Theater, which presented an interactive performance "Happiness", performed side by side with hundreds of young artists from Russia, Malaysia, Georgia and South Ossetia. According to Alexey Krivitsky, Chairman of the Russian Union of Youth, the gala concert included three conceptual blocks: "Friendship. Love", "Kindness. Mercy. Peace" and "Culture. Traditions. Heritage".
In Sochi, the band NASOVSEM together with the music label VK Records successfully recorded a new track, which will be released this month. The band noted that participation in the festival was a useful and unforgettable experience for them.
“The festival was astonishing in its scale: thousands of talented participants, volunteers and artists gathered in one place. Here we wrote songs, constantly rehearsed and performed. The most significant event for us was the recording and presentation of a song together with VK Records. We were very excited about the event, largely thanks to the support of the Kuzbass delegation”, – shared his impressions Lev Surtaev, a master's student of the Institute of Power Engineering, soloist of the band NASOVSEM.
The World Youth Festival was held on the federal territory "Sirius" in order to develop international youth cooperation. The festival was organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
The festival gathered 20 thousand Russian and foreign leaders. The Kuzbass delegation consisted of 135 people and 59 volunteers. They took part in the exhibition of the Russian Federation regions, the educational marathon of the Russian Society "Znanie" and other youth projects.
