November 16 was the day of the Kemerovo Region at VDNH. An interactive stand with a presentation on the history and modern technologies of the region was opened by Sergey Tsivilev:
Today, Kuzbass is not only the coal heart of Russia, new brands are created, international-level facilities are built, and improvements are made. All this is happening thanks to the talents and ambitions of people who care about Kuzbass and government support.
The head of the region emphasized the achievements of the region over the past 6 years particularly in healthcare, development of social and transport infrastructure and implementation of national projects. Also, as part of the day of the region of Kemerovo region will be held "Dialogue of generations "Talents of Siberia. Sirius. Education of Kuzbass - a space of opportunities". The participants will discuss trends in state policy in the field of continuing education; learn success stories of talented Kuzbass school and college students.
As part of the presentation of the Kuzbass stand at VDNH took place a ceremonial handover of polymers obtained by astronauts under weightless conditions to Governor Sergey Tsivilev . They were handed over by Alexander Chernyavsky, Advisor to the General Designer of the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation.
Half of the 20 samples will be sent to Kuzbass for study by students of KuzSTU. It is planned to test physical and mechanical properties of the products and their structure. This is the next stage of cooperation between the region and S.P. Korolev Russian Rocket and Space Corporation Energia.
“Kuzbass has already launched two of its research nanosatellites into space. We need a whole constellation of such aircraft in orbit, which will allow us to closely monitor what is happening on the territory of Kuzbass, quickly respond to all challenges, apply the latest technologies to work, ensure safety, and preserve our nature. The opportunity to conduct such serious research work has been given to Kuzbass, as we are actively developing our scientific base, universities are acquiring the most necessary equipment, and modern training programs are implemented. This is primarily due to the support of the region by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. KuzSTU students will conduct research on samples obtained from space, their conclusions will serve for further development of space technologies. We have many other joint discoveries with the Corporation ahead of us”, – emphasized Sergey Tsivilev, Governor of Kuzbass.
The samples for research were handed over to the Kuzbass students by Alexander Chernyavsky –Russian Rocket and Space Corporation Energia's Advisor to the General Designer. The uniqueness is that this is the first experience of Russia in manufacturing products on a 3D printer in the conditions of the Russian segment of the ISS. This is an important experience for Russia in demonstrating the possibility of producing parts in weightlessness or microgravity.
“In my opinion, this is a unique case when a region that is directly connected with mines - underground space - helps in the development of space technologies. I am sure that the research will be carried out at a high level. It is pleasant that students of Kuzbass are enthusiastic about space developments, have practical experience in this area and help us in solving the most important tasks for the space industry of the country”, – said Alexander Chernyavsky..
Items made of polymer materials were manufactured in June 2022 on the International Space Station with the help of the first Russian space 3D printer developed by Tomsk scientists. The work took place within the framework of the program of our country's space exploration, long-term missions, exploration of other planets, as well as the Moon. The samples were delivered from the ISS to Earth in 2023.
