KuzSTU forms bridges with the colleges of East Asia

Kuzbass State Technical University is expanding its international relations. Rector Alexei Yakovlev signed a cooperation agreement with Ma Yanwen, the rector of the Suzhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College (PRC).

Gorbachev Kuzbass State Technical University is the flagship in the training of highly qualified engineering personnel and the implementation of scientific innovations for the industrial sector of the region and the country. Its rich history is inextricably linked with the development and formation of Kuzbass. We also provide opportunities for vocational college students to continue their studies. We have opened youth labs and science labs for research work in mechanical engineering, digital mining, welding robots, artificial intelligence, and other fields. We are ready for exchange and cooperation with teachers and staff, seeking to promote the overall academic development of the two parties, - said Alexei Yakovlev, rector of KuzSTU.

The Kuzbass Polytechnic University will become a kind of "bridge" between the universities of Kuzbass and the colleges of Jian Su province. The agreement will allow the parties to raise professional education in Jian Su to a new level, upgrade it to a bachelor's degree, and generally promote international cooperation in the field of education and science. KuzSTU and SIVTC are planning to work on specific programs and are already launching the first joint events - a series of scientific lectures. For example, one such lecture from Sergey Zhironkin, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Open Mining of KuzSTU, was devoted to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in mining: “Artificial intelligence as a convergent technology in approaching Mining 4.0”.
